This slide presentation was developed to generate a greater awareness among primary care providers (i.e., physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners) of the importance of prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer.

After attending this presentation, participants should be able to:

- Describe the appropriate screening options for colorectal cancer
- Describe the current issues surrounding screening for colorectal cancer
- Identify barriers and potential solutions to screening for colorectal cancer

Presenting this slide presentation to primary care providers will enable them to be better prepared to recommend screening for the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer to their patients
